Thistle Physio Clinic is owned and managed by Naveen Sreekumari, M.Sc, MCSP. Naveen currently works full-time as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner at the Orthopaedic Spinal Clinic in the NHS. He is an Injection Therapist and Non- Medical Prescriber to enable working at an Advanced level of Physiotherapy.
In his day job, he deals with a wide and diverse range of complex clinical conditions; he works very closely with Orthopaedic Consultants to facilitate safe and effective care for patients. Prior to his current role in Orthopaedics, he worked as a First Contact Physiotherapy Practitioner at various GP practices in Fife.
Naveen completed his undergraduate Physiotherapy Degree in 2003, he then secured a Master’s Degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in the year 2007 from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy is a sub-speciality in Physiotherapy which deals with problems related to bones, cartilage, joints, tendons, ligaments and muscles.
Naveen has more than two decades of clinical experience, he has acquired a diverse and wide range of experience through his work at physiotherapy departments based in NHS England and Scotland. He has also worked at Private Physiotherapy Clinics in Edinburgh and Fife.
Naveen started Thistle Physio Clinic due to his strong desire to provide evidence-informed physiotherapy treatments at an affordable price.
He is passionate about personalised and collaborative working with clients, which includes a combination of Hands-on Treatment techniques, Education and a comprehensive exercise program.
